  • 2018 penny ,strike through?

Hello everyone, I would like to start off by thanking you for your time and I'm very greatful to have possibly found some help on this 2018 1 cent. I took this coin to a shop and was immediately told it was postmint and not collectible. Even with very little experience I believe differently.

i wouldn't just sell it right away. i think it would be a good idea to look for more examples online or at shows or other sites/forums, if they exist and see where it fits in the progression, if it exists. there could be bigger ones out there and they get smaller as more of the crud came apart or perhaps it was struck through a single solid object. tough to say.

once you gather some reliable information, if possible, you will be able to determine if it is submission-worthy or if best just left in a cardboard 2x2.
