CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

The same line seen going down through George Washington's face on the obverse of coin, is also seen in the wing of the reverse of the coin, plus the more obvious Striking Through on the reverse, any thoughts & comments will once again be so much appreciated, thank you for you're time in responding.

In my opinion, this coin suffers from post mint damage - or simply - damage after it left the mint.
It could have happened any time after it left the mint.
With it being heavily circulated - IF this was done in the mint 30+ years ago - that area would not be as shiny as it is right now.
especially after all that use in circulation.

Thank you for your response, y'all are the ones that know your business obviously I don't know much about it at all,. I'll keep looking maybe one day I'll luck out,. But it looks to me like actually finding a rarity is pretty much not going to happen,. It kind of makes the coin hobby not worth the effort,. Anyways take care and thank you again.
