  • Wheat penny error, 1 side blank w/rim

I came across this in a large lot of wheat pennies. The obverse is blank, but it has a deep rim. The reverse is like normal, very good condition. Can someone help me with this one?

It looks to have been milled outside the mint for a possible magician's coin.

Thats exactly what that is. It's the shell of a Magician's coin. usually a dime was stuck inside there to allow for a trick changing a cent to a dime and vice versa.

      Thanks,
      Bill
