CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

Just out of curiosity, the first picture shows what appears to me to be doubling on the date, but the third picture, of the date, shows no doubling at all.... curious, am I missing something?

just an artifact of the slightly blurry, at a distance image. happens all the time. you can see it is the same coin by the spots/corrosion/crud, whatever it is that lincolns tend to pick up.

I looked over this coin again. It was the result of me searching all last winter. I did not have a heart palp moment. I am glad I found it along with an fs 108 ,72, Lincoln. They were a pittance for the efforts exausted. But. It was a very valuable learning experiance.

This winter, when the dark rolls in, and snow, ice, wind resume their processes of nature, I assume I will be at my searches again. And I hope I discover a. PALP COIN. I just coined that expresion first. May you all get your PALP Coin. Adue

Palp Coin: A coin that gives heart palpitations.
