    1982-P small date 3.04g question

Hello Everyone, I just wanted to ask for some advice on this one. Its not in bad shape and I believe it could pull at least a low 60's grade. I just wanted to ask if a 1982-P small date copper penny is worth anything and if I should have it graded or not? I was once told these rea not really rare coins, and I just though I'd would run this buy this group before I did anything with it?

Any advice or recommendations will be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you all very much.

Two things the CONECA forum staff frown on are RAW coin grading questions, and prices.
You can resarch prices online for completed auctions under most advanced settings of the auction house.

The should i get it graded is totally up to you. Its your finances, risk, return on investment, reasoning and money. I don't make decisions for others. ANACS may be the cheapest way out if you have multiple coins and can find a rep at a local coin show.

You also can get a general idea of the value by visiting a third party grading service. Let's use pcgs for example.
    • Go to pcgs.com
    • look for their price guide in the menu.
    • navigate to the coin you are looking for
    • if the list des not show all the years, just below the last entry, to the left should be a pull down menu.
    • make sure that is to ALL.
    • Find your year of coin. If the small date is not listed, see if there is a PLUS SIGN to the left of the date.
    • click on the PLUS SIGN to reveal a list of varieties acknowleged by PCGS. .
    • At the top of the page to the middle are tab selections for grade ranges.
    • To the top right may be a toggle button to switch between population and prices.
