    2008 edge double stike?

I found what looks like a double strike of 2008 - maybe. I scanned the coin
in with another beside it to show the 8 and a zero (faint). The problem
I can see is that the 8 looks upside-down. Now, it is indented in the coin,
but very thin. So the question is, how did the 08 get on the the coin?
(There is another place that looks like it has 2 Us on in from UNUM, but
    they are very faint.)

Oh, and the interesting thing is that the coin is a 2007-p Jefferson.
    Any Ideas?

Which coin do you wish to focus our attention on? Is it the one on the left with what appears to be a thin, incuse "8" or "S" next to the "U" in TRUST? If so, it could be a contact mark from one of the letters or number on the obverse face.

The coin on the left. I used the one on the right to help hold it in place,
and to show the size of the 8 on the 2008 coin relative to what looks
like an 8 to me on the coin on the left.
