    1958 D JEFFERSON NICKEL STRUCK-THRU GREASE?

Hello CONECA, This evening I am looking at a freshly graded superb 1958D Jefferson Nickel with 6 full steps. Closer inspection of the reverse of the subject coin reveals a possible struck-thru on the left smaller window. Thoughts or comments?

probably a struck-through. tough to be positive from the image even though it is pretty good. angles can be good for stuff like this to help show depth against the surrounding devices. happy hunting.

here is screenshot from full view trueview. neat strike through. very sharp crisp image.

edited to add: sometimes these are just referred to as struck through debris as a lot of error dealers/collectors have seen all kinds of stuff struck through between flans and dies. i get lazy a lot and just say grease but it could be something else.

Hello occnumis2021, I am trying to distinguish between PMD and a struck-thru. It clearly looks to me like a struck-thru something. Cheers, Bruce.

you and many others and let me tell you, we all get fooled sometimes. just a seemingly infinite amount of things natural and otherwise tends to happen to these little medal discs!

Hello occnumis2021, I think we are in agreement that this is a struck-thru of some nature. Thanks for you analysis and thoughts. Cheers, Bruce.
