CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

    I believe I finally found one. A 1988 Lincoln penny with a 1989 reverse. Thoughts on it?

      Yeah, I’m sorry I couldn’t get a better picture initially. The pixels on the display make it difficult. What gives it away to me is the serifs on the “G”. Here’s a better image

          Hey, that is pretty neat. It was always kind of wild to me how undefined the old FG signature used to look.

            does your G have the little hook on the G? i've seen the G with the bottom little stem but w/o the hook to the left at the top of that upright. i don't see it on your coin although that second image is much better.

            also, when uploading images, if you see the second tab on that popup, you can go to upload and send to server, then ok to post them like this.

              Yeah, mine has that. It looks as though that hook or corner is the copper rising up to meet the plateau of the lettering, if that makes sense.
