CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

    so i believe this nickel has doubling on the F, it appears to be another Upper half of an F in Five Cents. this error is know as what? IMG-0202.JPG IMG-0203.JPG

    The reverse had had some post mint damage done to it. It is faint very
    but goes from the left side of the Monticello building, through the east side of the last O in MONTECELLO, the across five cents. It's a very circulated coin. It could have been trapped in a coin counter some time ago.
