I've been through a friend's hoard of pennies and came upon this 1962D that leapt out at me because of the shape of the "6" in the date. The tail on the six stands straight up and the loop seems compressed. In addition there is the shadow of a regular tail on the six behind the upright tail. In addition, on the reverse of the coin it appears there was a strike-through of perhaps a twisted wire that cut the upper left of the monument and took out most of the Band the U in Pluribus. Any suggestions on this would be appreciated. thanks,
Mike
