CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

    1967 Penny DDo/DDR/Dieclash/overdate

HEy THose that are reading this,so as the titles says this puppy has awhole alot going on with it from what i see,and I know that this is a coin that has Undeniable errors on the obverse and reverse, so its a DDO/DDR/ not sure what to call an extra Number(6) that shouldnt be there at the bottom of abes bust on the right, and it looks like there is a 7 to the right but under the 7 with a DIE Gouge running through the 7 in the date 1967(it might be a diecrack im to to sure that name of this error)now going to Liberty,, if you looks under the i in Liberty you can see a faint striking of another Land under that L another L and so for like 6-7 times maybe more i cant really tell after the first 4-5, but looks back at liberty its appears that the L BR and possibly the Y are also doubled or double struck, i i think this is a Die clash as well, Now on the right side of his Nose but just slighty above the bridge of it is another Eye tho barely there and AN double Ear and Chin, or thats a Die clash i was talking about., Oh yeah so im undersure if this would be machine doubling, but the First N in the word UNUM looks struck a couple of times. and than there are some WEIRD LOOKING TINY Letters i mean Tiny like The size of the writing on the sides of the president 1 dollar coins THat Tiny starting just under the U in the word Trust on the obverse....Now the Reverse, i hope everyone took an break before continuing this read haha . This is a Struck through coin i believe,
There looks like a faint LEG of an A on the left side coming out of the top left of the A..
now for The word United the letters U and the N look to be doubled, top of the U and Top of the N left side. now for the last one i think my hand is getting tired, but in Unum the first N has the appearence of being struck 3-4 times.

no type of variety or error that i can see. if there is anything there it appears too minor.

Yeah....In my opinion, The original poster simply tries too hard.
It's great to have enthusiasm, but one needs to know about the minting process.

I cannot spend all day trying to debunk this as I know that 90% of this cannot happen together and still have all of this on one coin. I will pass on future comments, focusing on other posts.

This book may help understand more about the minting process, prior to 1996.

It can be available for less than 40 bucks. One has to hunt for it though. the 2nd edition had Fred Weinberg involved and that is the version I have, signed by Fred . It has a Off-Center Morgan Dollar on the dustcover and I believe it was the latest and possibly last release.
