Possible die adjustment 20**??? Jefferson Nickel

In my opinion, die adjustment strikes should not affect the rim. The rim is done at the upsetting mill. It has hints at possibly being a grease filled die but, something else like chemically treated can give it that look too.
There is no shiny patina on this coin too.
The obverse on the right or east side has hardly any rim where as there is some on the west side. It could have been the direction the chemical flowed off the coin, from west to east.
Wait for more opinions, but to me, I am skeptical.Gary Kozera

Focus on comparisons that have been slabbed, authenticated and graded by third party grading services. In My opinion, raw examples many not be what they claim to be. If photos are not the best look for examples on the Heritage Auctions website. They have sold many an error coin and most of the times provide a great high resolution photo. Use that site with uch caution and a tight grip on a budget. There are some heavy hitters in there. Use at your own risk.Gary Kozera
