(2)2006P Sacagawea $ Rev Die Breaks/Chip
Hello everyone... I have a nice find here to share. Two 2006P Sacagawea $ each with the identical die breaks/chip on the reverse. I tried taking pics of the reverse of the two, side by side, but one or the other was either blurred or too dark. Areas where the die breaks are located is over the "B", between the "B", "U", and the "S" running under the "U" upward over the "S" to the wing and, within the "U" in UNUM and running downward toward the eagle's head. A sizeable chip is underneath the "B" in PLURIBUS. How common is this find for the 2006P Sacagawea $? Thanks! FranTags: None

Sorry for the delayed reply, Mike. To me the areas look like coins that I've seen which are classified as filled die cracks or die gouges and the bump below the "B" looks like a die chip or at least something under the top layer of the coins. They do not have any indentions that I can tell but are raised areas. Thanks! FranOriginally posted by diamond View PostThese do not appear to be die chips. They appear to represent die damage. As to how common this is, I can't tell you. Nobody bothers to keep track of minor blemishes like this.
