    Struck through cloth?

Found this beauty this week. Looks like it was struck though cloth maybe. Also some strike through on the side of head. Any insight would be great. Thanks.

One of the better Kennedy Halves to collect. It's a one year design, which means it can be more desirable. It is a shame no one plucked this while it was in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. The BU's typically bring in a lot more revenue.

i own a proof Kennedy Bi-Centennial that I won off an auction house dirty early in the morning. It's 9.75 grams struck on a foriegn planchet. It's one of my favorite errors. Fred Weinberg the error collector King before he retired said the Bi-Centennials were not that common for errors, since it had limited production. It doesnt blend in with the other Kennedy's.

I am reluctant to say it should be slabbed. I don't know if there would be a significant return on investment, after the cost of authentication, slabbing and return shipping. ANACS would probably be the cheapest, but by itself, it would cost more, than spreading costs across 4 or more coins.

You might have the staff here at CONECA take a look at it.

From the top left of this page, go to the FORUMS tab
Scroll down to the CONECA SERVICES area
Go under the EXAMINATIONS forum and place a post in there.

I highly suggest adding as much info and any questions you can think of in the first post. They may take a while to look this over, and it may take longer for each consecutive post. Add pictures and describe what you see to clarify what they see in the photos.

Thanks for sharing! Tough error type, especially on halves. If struck thru cloth, it would definitely be worth getting certified.
