  • 1988-P 25C Ear Doubled/Deterioration/Polishing?

Hey everyone, looking to get some feedback on this 1988-P 25C Washington ear. No DD listings for this year and mint so that's leading me to believe this is die deterioration or an over polishing issue. Thoughts?

IMG_4041.jpeg Greetings, IMHO Strike Doubling is the cause of this, after the coin is struck a lose Die can come in contact with the newly created design again slightly off and cut into a single part of the design, or many parts/areas .

Thank you very much for your response! Not too good with quarters, more of a Lincoln cent guy myself.
