    1995 LMC Wavysteps

All the steps and fluting match 1DR-001 ( WSDDR-005) on coppercoins, but none of the die markers match. I think this coin is just an EDS, it has no polishing marks on it.

Hi Louis - What makes it hard to attribute wavy steps and also trails is that they tend to follow precise patterns. So, one wavy step die may look like another from the same year, however, it isn't. That is what makes finding and identifying die makers so important.

If you could, go to the main forum page and "click" on links.. When the new page comes up "click" on educational. In that list, you will find the link for wavy steps and trail die files. This may lead you to what your die is. Just for information sake; I abandoned the WSDDR identifier over two years ago and now use DEO or DER

I check your website, The one that it matches is 1DER-005WS. The only die marker I could match was the die dot in the N in UNUN. If you would like to look at this coin I could send it to you. Louis

Hi Louis - no need to send it. It is 1995P-1DER-005WS, shifted to the east. It is an unusual die and one of the major wavy steps. Very nice find.
