CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

  • Can a coin have both machine doubling and DDO?

I have this 1984 Lincoln cent that I believe has both as evidenced by the lips. I have people saying it’s this or it’s that so I’m here to find out once and for all. The verdict is..? And thanks in advance to all who participate.

I am inconclusive with the present photos. I am not on the CONECA Board team.

Yes, they exist, but this does not one of them.
Did you look at variety vista to see if one even existed for this year and the area in question ?

In the description of each variety tells where the doubling occurs. It's struck in metal, so locations do not move.

In my opinion, it's all worthless doubling. It looks like push doubling to me.

Attributors typically use 10x power as a guide to attribute the coins. Higher than 10x magnification can cause the variety to be labeled as too minor to list.
