In my opinion, there isn't a transitional error. There were wrong planchets from different denomitions, like a cent struck on a dime planchet.
Here is transitional error..... almost like a wide am or a reverse of the previous or next year.....

Typically a transitional error comes from one type of planchet to another, like from a 1964 kennedy planchet on a 1965 kennedy that should have been 40% silver instead of 90%

The only notable copper transitions I know of is the 1943 copper instead of steel, then the 1944 steel instead of copper.
There might be some copper instead of zinc as well, but not as pricey as the 1943/1944 transitional pieces.Gary Kozera
