CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

    Would this be a broadstruck error. The rims are everywhere on this coin. The CA on obverse is incuse. Looks like lettering in trust is off a bit. Left side of wheat stalk on reverse is a extra doubling line going on. Hmmm, or is this damage. Interesting piece to come across. Thanks 20240111_142059.jpg 20240111_142037.jpg

    Unfortunately this is the center coin on 3 coins that were smashed in a vise or with a hammer. a broad strike would have a larger diameter as it had no collar to hold it in place.
