CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

    Can anyone help me with this Bicentennial proof mark?

    I've got 3 Kennedy bicentennial proofs, but the S on one is very strange. It's much closer to the neck, askew, and looks inverted? Any help would be greatly appreciated. There's a normal one to compare to.

    It looks beautiful, publish a photo of the complete coin so that the specialists do not doubt. Here they are very cautious with their opinions.

      I don't think you have an inverted mintmark. On the normal mintmark you can see the rounded serif at the bottom of the mintmark, and yours shows the rounded serif at the bottom so it is not inverted. Maybe yours is from the mintmark punch being tilted.
