    1950D D/D/S new variety

I believe this is a 1950D d/d/s. That there is a die crack on bust, and one going through E of America and eagles wing and one horizontally along eagles beak. 1950 is double and E- Pluribus unum look triple double dies. It's MS . I believe it's the first of this variety including all the varieties listed in variety vista. This is rare rare rare

    There are no photos.

As a side note, working dies dont strike just one coin, they typically can strike up to 1 million Lincoln cents before being retired.Nickels might be in the 500,000 range, quarters are 325,000 and above. My point being...... wher are all the others ? It been over 70 years.

Its good you looked on varietyvista and to see nothing like yours is concerning.

You talk of an overdate. Then a triple or doubled die reverse. Its rather uncommon for this to happen. The dies are made first, and later the mint mark is added. To see 2 or three of a potential doubled die, and then the same amount on the mintmark is a recipe for machine damage diubling (worthless doubling), which can be plentiful.

The only overdates documented are 1949, 1954 and 1955.
There arent any 1950D or S doubled dies documented.

We need good clear photos of the coin to either confirm or debunk the possibility.
