NO DATE BOWTIE CLIP QUARTER
Here is a new error of mine. quarter bowtie clip, no date, but with an overlapping curve clip on one side. NGC lists it as a straight clip. but this looks like a set of overlapping curve clips. This was pointed out to me by 2 friends. This will go into my error type set and my teaching set. I use the set when me and Greg Bennick teach a ANA summer seminar class on errors, varieties, and how coins are made in June. anyone interested in the class check in with the ANA summer seminar.CONECA Attributer: John MillerTags: None

The error coins with a error labels are a hoot. I have two one is
Washington Quarter on a 5c labeled as, Washington 5c on a 5c blank.(NGC)
The other is a nickel that says its 5% off center but its actually 95 % off center. (ANACS)

One of the best teaching tricks for me at shows involves playdoh and an oversized medal of some sort. I get the person to lightly smash it into the Playdoh, carefully pull it out and smash it back in. If it does not smear, it can resemble a doubled die. Its more about the memory of doing this and seeing the light turn on when they realize a small portion of the coin minting process.
