The reason the lettering of IN GOD WE TRUST looks wider is due to all of the contact marks located on this coin. Look at the 3rd photo above, it is a very good photo since it shows the number of contact marks on this coin. I am sure these marks hit the words and by doing so can make the words look wider but it was done so by damaging the letters with these contact marks. I am not sure what caused the marks. This coin is heavily circulated, so more than likely the damage was done outside the mint. I think it should be labeled as post mint damage.

Im not doing research. Thats your job. I wouldnt hold a coin with metal tweezers either. That coin is PMD. Could have been acid dipped or sandblasted. You’re still not specific on what your seeing.
Posting pics over and over and asking “Whats this?” will start having less and less answers. Be specific with questions and pictures. Use the site links and soak in all the info. Most coins that a lot of people are posting are just damage, obvious damage. Some research has to be done on the posters part. Were all here to help but if no effort is done by whoever is posting, it gets old real fast
