After 1982, the copper bronze coins were converted to copper plated zinc cents, the top layer should be copper with a zinc center. I look at the front and see light wear on the head. You can see a little amount of bright copper which means the coin transitioned from the color red brown, to the now nearly brown.
In order for this to be a zinc cent with out the copper core plating, i think you would see a lot more silver to blue colors. I only see medium wear and copper, like a normal coin.
