CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

  • Hello All

Hello all. My name is Eric Mathe and I'm fairly new to coin collecting. I've been mostly coin roll hunting for the last 8 months. I started doing this with my nine year old daughter and it immediately became our favorite pastime. I've learned a lot in a short time and have found some neat coins that I am excited to share here. I seem to have a knack for finding clashed die errors.

I am not currently a paying member of CONECA, but I do intend to get a family subscription as soon as I am able to. I look forward to interacting and learning on this forum with you all.

    Cheers!

    Eric

Welcome aboard. There are some good times when a coin experience is shared with family members. It's relaxing, frustrating and rewarding.

There are some decent folk in this forum that can answer your coin related questions.
