CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

  • Newby Here.Hello all

Hi just joined up. My coin collecting started when I was a kid. Had the Lincoln penny book and Jefferson nickel book. Now many years later ran across them in storage and decided to see what they might be worth and holy moly couldn't believe what a penny could be worth, not to mention all the other coins. So about 30,000 pennies later I'm ready to see what I've got. Think I might have a couple of nice finds. None of the big double dies but some known and unknown errors and variations, Ok that's my story and I'm sticking to it!! Have a good day all!

    Welcome aboard.
Some good folks here to answer your coin related questions.
I too have a hoard of Lincolns, lots of BU re-punched mintmarks. Now that I am retired, it's time to see exactly what I have.
