CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

Hello all! My name is Tom Stastny I am a semi retired Pastor of 74 years of age. Prior to becoming a Pastor I spent twenty years in the USAF before retiring in 1988. I became interested in joining after I was tasked to "check out" my wife's Grandfather's coin collection. Being ignorant of most things concerning coin collecting I went to the one true source on coins THE INTERNET! Though there are excellent resources on the subject there are also much that adds confusion. It is my hope to be able to learn much from the forum and get sound advice on what I find in this Hobby collection. It has been fun so far and I hope to acquire an eye for errors! I hope I posted this in the correct spot!
