CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

Hi Everyone! Great to be a part of this community. I have been a member of CONECA for a few years now, but hesitated to join the form, as life can get busy.

I have been collecting on and off since the early 90s, joining the ANA in January of 1991. I most recently picked up the itch again thanks to the pandemic, and feel it is hear to stay this time.

After completing a collection assessment, I've narrowed down my focus primarily to 2 cent pieces; date collecting with a secondary long term goal of creating a type collection, and half cents. That's sounds like a lot, and maybe another assessment is in order soon. While focusing in these areas, I've run into many pieces with overdates, errors and varieties that have sparked my interest and drew me to joining CONECA to learn more.

I look forward to getting to know you and seeing where this goes.

    Take care and happy collecting!

    Brian

    Welcome aboard.
There are some decent members here that should be able to answer your coin related questions.

    Happy hunting.
