CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

    Happy to be part of the group. I recently retired from the Army and now have more time to focus on my hobbies. I have been coin collecting off and on for several years now. I recently picked up a decent microscope and have found multiple errors since.

    Welcome aboard. I retired from the navy back in '99 and I retired from working as a contractor for quite a few years.
    I am enjoying the freedom and the peace and quiet. I have more time to dabble in errors and varieties as well.

      Thanks, Gary. I'm still too young to truly retire. I found a job in the tech industry as a business operations manager. Great culture and I work from home. Haven't looked back since.
