Hello! I am new to the forum and to coin collecting. My husband collected Indian head pennies in the early 80's but had to give it up once we started a family. Well, he recently renewed his interest and I am happily following his lead with a growing collection of Washington Quarters for myself! I'm looking forward to learning what I can about varieties and what to look for in my searches!Tags: None

Welcome aboard.
One of the better sites to look at for variety attributions is
http://varietyvista.com
Indian Head cents can be found here:

Thanks so much for the greeting and the links, can I ask you which one of the forum pages I should use to ask about a potential error on a coin? There seems to be several to choose from. For reference, I have a 1934 Quarter with a raised area by the "4" on the date that I would like someone's opinion on. Any help is greatly appreciated.

If the coin is an error, then a post under errors would be OK.
If the coin is a variety like a doubled die, repunched mint mark, over mint mark, repunched date, overdate or misplaced date, it would go under the varieties forum.
If you aren't sure where it should fit, you can post it in the general forum.
