  • Excited to be Here!

Hello everyone. I’m a fresh new member as of 3 minutes ago and am grateful to be in the company of so many seasoned collectors!

I’ve always been interested in errors and varieties since I was in my younger teens. My fascination with coins began when my father read an article in the paper about how there was a 1983 Lincoln Cent, that had a doubling on the “ONE CENT.” Since we were still in that year, I remember searching every penny I could find in the hope of finding one. Just the search itself was exciting enough for me.

Fast forward 40 years later and my fascination for such finds, has always forced me to habitually go through all my pocket change, just in case.
I still collect when I can afford too as well. I just recently purchased a second German J 5 cent euro 2004 Double Die from Mr. J. Ylitalo. The first I purchased from him is currently at NGC and is moving through the grading process. When I saw Jeff had a second one for sale and he kept it in the same immaculate condition as the 1st, I just couldn’t let it get away…..
Thats me! Always seeking what few may have…..

I’m looking forward to my first post in the forum and the experience that comes with every reply!

    Welcome aboard.

There are some good members here to assist with your coin questions.

The European countries still have a good range of varieties and errors out there, especially wrong planchets, off-centers,doubled dies and over dates.

    Happy hunting
