CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

  • Hello everyone

Much like all these posts, I'm new here. I am 17 and I coin roll hunt pretty often, I've been wanting to since I was about 13 and found RFT on YouTube but the bank I had then wouldn't let me get rolls so I only recently (about a month ago) started coin roll hunting.

Although I just started, I know a fair bit about coins and value. The only thing I struggle with is if its true doubling or just machine doubling lol

I have a few coins I want to post about already, i know for sure I have a die crack and a die chip, just want some opinions on them and value estimate (I have no idea what most error coins are worth). I also have some other coins that are questionable thar I'd like to submit and ask about.

I am NOT a paying member, i just joined, i have no idea how the site works and I'm just figuring things out.

I'll be posting those coins soon, let me know what you think!

    Welcome aboard.

CONECA staff frown on two things and I will mention both here. One is value, because the value of a coin can be much different from person to person and within different regions.

The other is offering grades of raw coins. This is subjective. CONECA staff doesnt mind people talking grades of coins which have been authenticated by third party grading service (TPG).
