CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

    Good evening everyone,

Just introducing myself. I just got into the hobby and have loved every second of hunting. My wife and I had a 5 gallon jig almost half full of change and I have been going through it. I am an Iraq War veteran and have been needing something to keep my mind busy and boy did I ever find it! My wide and I have 2 kids a 16 year old son and 6 year old daughter they both come into my office and watch as I look through the coins. They have started bringing me change they find outside or in their rooms. This hobby that I needed is quickly evolving into a family affair.

I signed up tonight for a CONECA membership, i do not have a membership number yet but it will come shortly. Thank everyone for having me, and I look forward to learning more and furthering my connections with people. Hope everyone has s a great day!

    Welcome aboard.

Neat story. It's a hobby that has its ups and downs, disappointments and few rewards. It's relaxing and requires some logical thinking to assess what might have happened to the coin in question. Having family involved in most things, allows for some great memories.

There are some good members here who can assist and answer your coin related questions.

    Happy hunting.
