CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

Hello everyone! My name is Loy. I joined CONECA through a link in the Cherry Picker's Guide. My first error coin was an 1882 O S1 O/S VAM-4 I bought off of a TV commercial for $20. Then I read a story about ugly coins sometimes being mint errors, bought the Cherry Picker's Guide, and here I am hoping to find out if some of the coins I have are actual errors or not. Happy hunting and best regards. Loy.

Good afternoon my name is Alex. I live in The Villages Florida, but I am not yet retired. I am currently a nurse that spent half my career as a communications engineer. It was time to find a hobby and I just happen to get some old coins for my dad and now I’m hooked. I spend hours For treasure and educating myself. I join this group as an organized group of professionals, Facebook, and sometimes be a lot of drama. Thank you so much for accepting me. I do plan to become a member.

Hello my name is Natalie and coin collect began when my husband and I bought a storage. We found a box of coins and as we looked and researched through the information we became more interested in history and it all grew from there from buying, learning, and now the desire for it now is a part of our everyday life and we revolve around the hobby and it to us! Now we're branching out to explore and learn more from you all, that pave the way to have the pride it deserves.
