CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

A new member to the forum and a coin collector since I was only 4 years old (found my first penny), that was in 1964 and haven't finished my lifelong journey of collecting. I will still pick up a coin in a parking lot, or in a store or anywhere I see one laying, face up or not doesn't matter at all.

I have thousands of coins. Most are raw but I have several Certified also.

I am impressed with the information available as I am a paying member of CONECA.

I love to read the ErrorScope issues and still learning more about errors.

That's all for now , I have coins to evaluate but I will return to the forum soon.

In my opinion, I had look at the photo for it to tell me what to look for in regards to what type of variety ot may be. To tell you the truth, I am not a big fan of coins in the variety world, that single squeeze era, from say....1989 to present.

Hopefully some one will come in and answer your question or, confirm/debunk it.

I have not looked at varietyvista.com or the VarietyPlus side of NGCcoin.com. They may have documented examples of the DDR if it exists, and was reported. I think the only ones reported were involving some leaves close to the torch.
