My name is Mark Simons and live in Bonita Springs Fl. I’m not yet a member but do plan to become one soon as I have only recently became aware of the organization. I am new to the hobby (5 months) but have worked to educate myself and have attended a few shows, most recently “summer fun”! I’m currently focusing on Lincoln memorial cents. I recently noticed what I think to be doubling on a 1979 1C example. After watching a few videos I learned of CONECA and would like to inquire about the coin’s status utilizing your expertise. I have taken some pics with my iPhone of images from a ELIKLIV scope.

CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.
