CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

    Hello fellow numismatists

    I'm a long time collector of Lincoln cent error coins. I used CONECA variety list 20 years ago to help with my new hobby. With the help of James Wiles and Billy Crawford, I actually got credit for finding 2 discovery pieces on Lincoln cents. 1984 DDO Die 3 and 1988 D/D RPM-9. Recently I brought my loupe out of retirement and found the joy and relaxation of coin hunting. I possibly found 2 new errors that I'll send in. I signed in for the paid membership to enjoy even more.
