    magnified 1917 S mint mark.jpg 1917 (S on obv) possible RPM.jpg

    Hello All.

I've been collecting coins on and off for over 60 years. When I was a child, my uncle used to let me look through the change from his milk delivery route. I got hooked on Liberty Standing Half dollars when my father brought home a roll of Walking Ladies (all with "s" mint marks!) someone had used to pay a bill.

I plan on becoming a member and using the Examination/Attribution services.

I'm posting two photos of a 1917 s that I had for years but never took note of until I started trying to take magnified photos. It looks to me like there is definitely something to the left of the mint mark. Is this an RPM? I'd appreciate any comments.

    Regards,
    LRU52
