CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

Hello my name is Amy. Thank you for allowing me in the forum. I have been interested in coins and coins errors for about 3 years now. I still have a lot to learn a whole lot. Some coins I look at and I'm thinking that this coin looks like it has some kind of doubling and totally not even close. So I'm definitely hear to learn. Thanks again.

Welcome to the Forum Amy. We all are still learning and doubled dies can be quite challenging, especially to those just starting in the hobby. Feel free to post some of your variety coins you have questions about.

Hello, I'm Greg and I've been coin collecting for about eight years now. I watch alot of pod cast on youtube and have learned to look at all the change in my pocket. Last year I found a 2001D Roosevelt dime error. I took it to my coin dealer who sent it off to PCGS for grading. I've been unable to find any error like it even though my coin dealer says there are many out there. When I ask him to show me one he can't. My question is should this coin have come thru Coneca first before grading?

it is really bad form to introduce yourself, esp with a story in someone else's introductory thread not to mention your moniker is just plain inappropriate.
