CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

    new to coneca; introduction

    Hi!

We've been collecting coins for a while, though not probably as much as others. We have some coins, and while not looking for appraisal, we'd like to show what we have and any help figuring out who to show them to would be helpful! as we learn more, we hope to become hobbyist collectors! We have coins from late 1800's to present time, from the north americas mostly and some from india and great britain.

    Hi
I am happy to be on this platform! It seems very interesting.
I have this 1983 D penny I have been dyeing to find out about. It looks like a Pmint mark on reverse stairs of parliament building but how can that be? It already has a D? Or is this a transfer from another coin? Scoured the internet and topics but nothing comes up? Hope this is worthy of an attribution
    thanks a bunch

    Sara

it is really bad form to post your inquiries into other peoples threads, especially introductory threads.

occnumis2021 is basically saying posting on some one else's post is not a good idea. It becomes confusing when people mention more than one coin per post. It may not be clear who is talking about which coin.

Everyone on here can start a post... all the replies I assume are the threads, since they add up when the conversion is lively and informative.

It's late and honestly, I feel a bit lazy to look up the post, thread and whatever goes along with it. I do see a new post so that's good to see.

            Happy hunting.
