CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

Good afternoon. I am new to the forum and will be a paying member shortly. I have been collecting US type coins for over 40 years. Recently, I have narrowed my collection down to small cents and quarters. I have a large collection of Indian and Wheat pennies, as well as thousands of pre-1982 Memorial copper pennies. I have always looked for errors and varieties. I have hundreds of partial dates, missing letters, etc. I recently acquired several quarters missing ridges on the rims and several missing plating. I hope to be sharing those soon.

Welcome aboard. There are some good folks in these forums that can answer your coin related questions.

The CONECA staff have added forum rules and protocols at the top of most forum areas. When you find the time, those can be beneficial.

No worries, just kick back and relax here and either the staff or members will help you along the way.

We look forward to seeing some of your finds.

      Happy hunting.
