    1979 d Lincoln Memorial Cent/Penny

Hi to all. I'm GmaForum and a totally newbie. I need guidance with terminology before I post my coin. As shown in the photos attached, DDO/DDR, BIE, die cracks, D Filled for my 1979 D Penny/Cent. I appreciate any additions/corrections I missed. Thank you very much for any input, GmaForum. Can add more photos if needed.

    Welcome aboard.

In my opinion, this looks like a well circulated coin.
One thing that might help is helping us.
I suggest you visit the following website and see how many 1979 D Lincoln cents have a DDO and or a DDR....

The photos arent the best. I dont mean to nit pick, but if you want us to help, the better the photos the more responses.

If your taking photos of a monitor, as we zoom in, they become vety blurry and pixelated. I cannot make out anything on the LIBERTY photo.

Its difficult to see the mint mark, let alone any of the supposed doubled die. I suspect the doubling you are seeing is worthless doubling called machine damage. We would need a lot closer, crisp and in focus photos to help.

For the obverse and reverse photos. There is more background than coin. Most cell phones allow you to crop or cut away unnecessary background so the coin image can be bigger. Cropping usually allows you to make a smaller box around the coin. Some pc software and phones have a universal icon, it looks like a bent square. That could be the cropping tool.

If your taking photos with a cell phone, I recommend reading this post :

I think this post is probably better for a sticky. It is not at the bottom of a post by some one else. I will do another for photo taking with a cellphone. In my opinion, when the season collector attempts to help with YOUR question, it eats up time. There are PLENTY of questions posted each day. VERY little of them add amplifying info.... Hours can be spent doing things which the original poster could do themselves. I am not ponting fingers, so please dont take this personally.
