CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

Hello, I have made a couple posts but a new member here. I have saved coins for a long time but basically a newbie in the details of coin collecting and what to look for in the way of errors. I have been learning a lot from this forum and decided to become a member of CONECA. I look forward to the journey of discovery to see what’s out there. I have come across a few cool errors in the way of RPM’s and one doubled die that was very easy to determine based on information listed on this site and others.

    Welcome aboard.

So you know and where to post them......

Doubled dies, RPMs, Over mint marks, Repunched dates, Misplaced dates and Overdates are considered Varieties.

Just about everything else is an Error.

Here is a post that might help:

If you tap my name, you can see the 3 subscription posts I have saved. Those helpful posts are related to this website. I did them to help people in this hobby, particularly on this website.

    Happy Hunting.
