CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

    New to the Forum

    Well to start, my name is Mike. I recently had a surgical procedure that took me off work for about 9 weeks. During this time, I got a little bored while healing, so I decided to clean out my closet. In the back I found my old boxes of coins that I had collected back in the late 80's - early 90's. There were also many coins my dad had left me. I had not looked at these in probably 20 years. Boy, did I get hooked again! Especially with the knowledge and information available on the internet and its many sources. I found Coneca while searching for information on Die errors. I am learning to navigate the website and do plan on joining with a membership. There is much to learn in the coin world, and I plan on following this hobby full force from here on out. Oh, by the way, I do love the error coins! Who wouldn't want a 55 DDO Lincoln?!
