CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

  • New Member Introduction

Hi everyone! My name is Millard and yes, I'm a coin-aholic. I'm a new member starting with a one year membership. I've always had a passing interest in coin collecting but didn't really get deep into it until I retired (after 33 years of civil service) and after I learned about Coin Roll Hunting. I've got a decent collection of coins collecting all the modern U.S. coins in Proof and Mint State as well as circulated. Almost got my Silver Eagles complete. And I'm currently working on Morgan, Peace, and Eisenhower dollars and Walking Liberty half dollars. It was while learning about coin roll hunting that I really started to get interested in errors. I've accumulated just a small collection of what I think is errors, mostly Lincoln cents and Jefferson nickels. And am looking forward to learning more about them. Still looking for my first true double die. Thanks for having me. I'm looking forward to it.
