CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

  • hello! I'm new :D

Hi hello aloha to you all. My name is Brandon Liwanag-Luat and I'm from Hawaii, the island of Oahu. I see another Hawaii person recently joined, hello neighbor. As I read in another intro: I am also a part of the many who've taken up numismatics due to the pandemic. I honestly really enjoy learning the hobby. Something I've been trying to do is to be able to identify doubled dies and be able to differentiate between die deterioration "doubling" and actual doubling. and to be able to explain why it is or isn't. I am also a new CONECA member. My main reason for joining at the moment is to hopefully submit what I believe would be 2 new discoveries. A 1940 DDR and a 1943 DDO doubled eye lid and tilted RPM; similar to a few already attributed but different mintmark placement. Fingers crossed! Oh and I read the rules and this will be the first and last forum post that's not short and to the point. I'm a talker, a storyteller, I'm just excited to be here. Thank you for your time
