CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

    short intro

    Hello-
    I've had a 30 year hiatus from my coins & now with the time to go back & dig out my collection, I'm getting reoriented with the trends & cadences of the hobby. At this point I'm interested in watching & learning, and simply having access to the photos being discussed will be of great value. I appreciate the need for appropriate interaction and use of the forum & intend to be cautious & courteus in that regard.

    I'm considering options for organizations to join & CONECA looks good. If it seems that I may well spend some time w/the site & members then I will go ahead & become a member.
