CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

  • 27 years collecting and finally on CONECA.

My names Dennis im 34yrs old from a little dirt town in New Mexico and with not much here to do began collecting things at a early age. I've been collecting Lincoln Wheat & Memorial Cents since i was around 7 or 8 years old and was gifted my 1st one from my grandfather, which was a 1909VDB. I was hooked instantly. I never really ventured into errors until I started to find them in circulation and was captivated by a 1973 D capped die I found. As the years went on i began collecting Mercury Dimes and Buffalo Nickles.. which has led me to picking up other types of series (Morgans)&(Large Cents) in which i cant seem to complete.

Currently im on the hunt for a Washington quarter expert to double check my scope work to be certain I've got VLDS on a (57D FS-901 Red-001).
    Hopefully #6 going to PCGS

Im happy to be a part of the community and will soon become a "Paying Member"

    Thanks for having me
