CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

Hello, I'm a new member of CONECA and have been a collector since the 1950's when all Lincoln cents were wheaties and you could still, with a little luck, find an S VDB in circulation or in a roll. I still maintain active collecting interests in U.S. coins and exonumia, and I enjoy and appreciate our great hobby and the friends it brings as much as ever. I look forward to perusing your forums and writing in from time to time. Regards, Michael

Hello Michael, It sounds like you may have a pretty impressive collection. I love collecting too, although I wish I'd discovered it earlier--only three years into it but they felt like three very long years of learning, and I teach on the University level! I would've given a lot to find a coin club near me.... Still haven't submitted anything for grading yet but I think I may finally be there. Looking forward to seeing a bit of your collection.

Welcome Michael. I started roll hunting in 1969 and you could still find at least 3-4 wheats in every roll. Happy you joined the forum. Looking forward to seeing some of your collection
