CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

Hello everyone. I have rejoined as a paying member of CONECA after being absent for something like 8 or 9 years. I recognize some names like Jason Cuvelier, Mark Lighterman, and Mike Ellis just to name a few. It is going to be great to get back into the swing of things after some time away to make a move preparing for retirement, one day, maybe. My interests are mint errors, repunched mint marks, repunched and misplaced dates, double dies, and everything Cherrypicker's. I really like the varieties found in the shield nickel series. The second book I ever bought was Edward Fletcher's and of course the first was Cherrypicker's! I also enjoy roll searching, I find it to be relaxing and stress free. I've never participated in a forum setting before and I am electronically challenged LOL but plan on participating more this time around. I plan on submitting a few posts soon along with stuff being sent to the attributers such as an 1893 V nickel missing its reverse but I have to do some more diagnostics on it (weight, lathe lines...). Stay tuned.
